Hosted by UK security expert Andy Davis who has assisted over 100 museums, this workshop will get participants from small-to-medium sized museums to better understand the threats within the cultural sector, how they manifest themselves, and steps that can be taken to reduce risk. It will also guide participants through the process of undertaking a risk and vulnerability assessment and provide resource for them to use in their own organisation. Target audience: The workshop is aimed at those working or volunteering in cultural organisations who are not security experts but are involved in assessing risk. This is a rare opportunity to engage with an international expert that should not be missed. Andy Davis - Facilitator Andy is an internationally recognised security risk management expert specialising in the protection of cultural assets, arts, and antiquities who is currently doing a programme of talks and workshops in Aotearoa. He has directed security operations at cultural venues and international exhibitions along with providing security advice and guidance to a large number of museums across the UK and internationally. If you are looking for travel support for this workshop, we offer travel subsidy grants, please see more information here.
