Tui dreams big and thinks a little differently. She has over 20 years of experience in international trade, economic development, public sector, business incubation, investment and the culture and heritage sector. In the innovation space, Tui has led the development of innovation and entrepreneurial programmes for corporates, government and communities including:
- Mahuki, the world’s first business accelerator for the culture and heritage sector
- The Lightning Lab, the blueprint for business acceleration in NZ
- Magnitude 7 pre-accelerator programme to grow the next generation of Māori and Pacific creative entrepreneurs
- Activate - designed to launch 100 creative businesses in Wellington; and
- The inaugural Selwyn Respectful Ageing Innovation challenge supporting innovative products and services for an ageing population.
Tui was the General Manager Innovation Hub at Te Papa, Director of Public Engagement at the National Library and Co-Chair of Museums Aotearoa. She is an experienced, senior executive, holds multiple directorships, is a member of Angel HQ and is currently Tumuaki at Te Matarau a Māui, the Māori economic development agency for Te Ūpoko o Ika.
