Locales is a place-based storytelling agency in Wellington.

We help organisations, communities and hapū connect visitors to place through storytelling. Often this involves creating solutions for museums that enables their visitors to explore local stories in the landscape.

Storymapp Storytelling Platform

Locales’ suite of Storymapp software solutions allow you to deliver stories wherever your audience engage with your brand reliably and cost-effectively. This enables you to deliver integrated storytelling across mobile, web, print and interactive kiosks/maps and projections.

Our most recent project is He Ara Kotahi, Hei Ara Kōrero.

Winner at the 2024 DINZ Best Design Awards, the judges said this about the project:
